ABOUT
OUTreach is a volunteer-powered LGBTQ+ nonprofit based in Wilmington, Delaware. Our mission is simple: to connect people who care with projects that make a difference in our community.
We believe that meaningful change often begins with small acts of care—neighbors showing up for one another, communities working together, and people choosing to make their city a little better than they found it.
Through volunteer events, community drives, and partnerships with local organizations, OUTreach mobilizes people to support those in need while building stronger connections across Wilmington. From food and clothing drives to community cleanups and service projects, our volunteers help create real impact through collective action.
But OUTreach is about more than individual events.
We believe Wilmington deserves a welcoming LGBTQ+ community hub—a place where outreach, connection, and culture can thrive. Our long-term vision is to help create a permanent space where people can gather, share ideas, organize community initiatives, and build lasting relationships.
Imagine a place where volunteers meet before heading out to serve their community, where neighbors gather for coffee and conversation, and where creativity, compassion, and collaboration are part of everyday life.
That is the future we are working toward.
For now, we continue building the foundation through service, partnership, and community engagement—one project, one volunteer, and one act of care at a time.
OUTreach is just getting started, and we invite you to be part of what we’re building.

OUTreach was founded by Eric Hastings, a Wilmington-based interior designer and community advocate. Through his studio, Hastings Creative, Eric designs spaces that bring people together — from nonprofit hubs to cultural gathering places. His mission with OUTreach is to extend that same focus on connection and belonging beyond physical spaces, and into the life of the community itself.
