OUTreach Fall Harvest:  October 24, 2026 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM

OUTreach Delaware is teaming up with Planting to Feed for a hands on morning of service in Wilmington. Planting to Feed grows fresh produce in local community gardens and shares it through community refrigerators, helping ensure that fresh, nourishing food is available to neighbors who need it.

Together, we’ll get our hands dirty tending the garden, harvesting produce, preparing beds, and helping with whatever is needed to keep this incredible community resource growing.

Come ready to work outdoors and get a little dirty! Wear clothing you dont mind getting a little dirty, wear sunscreen and bring water.

Afterward, we’ll head to La Metro Pizza on Miller Road for an optional social gathering and chance to grab some food, relax, and connect with everyone who spent the morning giving back.

Planting to Feed has two locations around Wilmington.  They will let us know the week before which one we will be tending to.  You will recieve an email on Friday 10/23/2026 with finalized details.  If you do not hear from us please reach out directly on instagram @OUTreachDE or email Eric@OUTreachDE.org

There are 12 spots available for this activity.

Down Syndrome Association of Delaware 5k Walk / Run:  October 17, 2026

The Down Syndrome Association of Delaware (DSA of DE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Founded in 1979, we aim to provide resources, education, and advocacy to promote inclusion and improve the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome. Originally founded by a small group of parents of children with Down syndrome, our organization now serves over 600 individuals with Down syndrome throughout DE and surrounding states.  Our organization is one of the most robust and prominent Down syndrome organizations in the country.

Through a variety of programs, events, and support services, DSA of DE fosters a community where individuals with Down syndrome can thrive, develop their full potential, and enjoy meaningful connections. We work to raise awareness and advocate for the rights of those with Down syndrome, ensuring they are recognized as valued members of society.

Our mission is to support families, promote community involvement, and encourage a lifetime of opportunities for people with Down syndrome.  Join us in our commitment to support, educate, and inspire!

The Delaware Down Syndrome Walk began in 2004 as an opportunity to promote awareness and acceptance for people with Down syndrome. It has grown into a large Family Fun Day featuring an Awareness Loop and timed 5K walk/run. Funds raised from the Delaware Down Syndrome Walk allow us to support families, promote community involvement, and encourage a lifetime of opportunities for people with Down syndrome.
